This is a series of puzzle games that tries to follow a similar difficulty curve to the ones from those Smart Games games, which means that it won't have a lot of custom mechanics, and could be compared to something like Sokoban or any Rosden Shadows game.

This one is inspired by IQ Link, which is actually the first game of this series I ever played. This one is about placing pieces with hooks and using the open parts to fill up the board. Just like the previous entry, the game will revolve around those main mechanics :

  • You can push pieces around similarly to Sokoban
  • There are two types of pieces : pegs and claws.
  • Claws can hold pegs inside, but they can't be pushed from the open sides.
  • Linked pieces moves together.
  • Win condition : Try to get all pieces inside the targets. No piece may stick out from the targets.

Just like before, you are free from suggesting new mechanics and levels by using this sandbox link : https://auroriax.github.io/PuzzleScript/play.html?p=ccb62a6c2e525479c4640932cdaa...

When suggesting custom mechanics, keep in mind these three things :

  • I won't add mechanics that are too complicated or won't fit the main mechanics of this game.
  • I won't add mechanics that would suit better for the next entries of the series.
  • I can add the mechanics from the previous entry, but that's not recommended.

Even though this game is well out of my skill level and I wasn't able to beat much of it, I greatly enjoyed what I played and hope to return to it someday!

*ominous music plays* HOWEVER

i would like to offer some

*horror sting* CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM

regarding one of the levels.

Given my understanding of the game's mechanics (which may very well be wrong), level 8 seems to be impossible. Unless there is some way to rotate the pieces that wasn't told to me. The pieces and their hooks collectively take up 12 tiles, the same as the number of targets needed, so I have to put them all onto the target area with no overlaps, which is impossible due to their shape. I played this puzzle for a good while and found no information that would disprove my logic, even though you probably intended for the puzzle to be... solvable, of course.

Assuming my logic is incorrect, I feel you should add a level somewhere before this one that is an easier version of this, serving as a hint on how to beat it and preventing other players from getting completely stumped like I am.

But overall, I still really like this game, don't let my criticism make you think otherwise. I hope to come back and fully beat it eventually. Have a(n) good day/night.

I'll see what I can do, in worst case scenario I'll just move it to another later section.

Also I am not adding a rotate piece mechanic

I found a bug, I can't move left here. I also can't move the blue piece down from the top left of it.

Edit: I can't move down here either.

the first level with the corner peices is very hard.

I agree, I wanted some levels about pushing claws before going with the more complex parts.

Love the variety in level design! Great work :) Thanks!
